Business Summary Marketing and diffusion business for a patented device awarded by the Takeoff 21 Osaka project under its "Elimination of gaps/bumps and aid devices for wheelchairs traveling on escalators" category as part of the "Smoothing of Travel by Seniors and the Physically Disabled" project based on Law No. 68 in 2000, "Universal Design-Based Barrier Free," for which D.E.F. was granted patents (brand names: Shoerator and Hoster). Our business target for fiscal 2010 is to install these inventions in railway station platforms all over Japan and in general buildings (making buildings compliant with the so-called Heart Bill Law, such as hospitals, nursing care insurance facilities, general homes and public facilities). The initial scale of our business operation is 150 billion yen. We intend to take advantage of subsidies from the national government and local municipalities for equipment installation.

In Japan, invented a world's-first device that enables one to assist a wheelchair-bound person to move up and down an escalator swiftly without halting escalator's operation (brand name, Hoster). Wheelchairs can be supported horizontally in 1.5 seconds on escalators with a riser height of 280 mm. It is now possible to assist wheelchair-bound persons safely, comfortably and easily.
